It has always been a dream to see other people find fun in their finances. Financial Fundamentals was created out of a passion for budgeting and an enjoyment of helping others succeed. It is hoped that by partnering with us on your business journey, you will also get a little more enjoyment out of your finances, and possibly a bigger bottom-line too!
About the owner.. My name is Chelsey Torgerson and I was born and raised in rural Minnesota. I spent my younger years as a math geek, succeeding in college-level math classes in high school. I enjoyed numbers and bringing order to chaos. I went on to college (go Cobbers!) and majored in Social Work, getting my bachelor’s degree from Concordia College. I know, surprise surprise, what is a math geek doing in the world of Social Work? Well, I believe it stemmed from a heart for serving others. After 10 years in the Social Work world, I found myself missing and longing for some of the black and white world of math. Don’t get me wrong, doing my family’s budgeting and keeping my husband’s hobby spending in check has allowed me much time to enjoy finances, but my heart kept calling me to reach others. I started my bookkeeping business in 2019 after speaking to many business owners who simply do not enjoy or have the time to focus on their finances as they are successfully keeping busy with all of the other aspects their business entails. Fast forward to today, I am a Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor and have learned the ins and outs of financial management in the business world. I am confident I can serve your business needs and make it fun at the same time!
